I'm a Health Care Professionals Council registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist who specialises in work with adolescents and adults, and work solely from the Rooms in Poynton and Knutsford, Cheshire. I enjoy working with people struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, relationship difficulties, work burnout and life crises. I am a registered provider for BUPA, AXA / Aviva and Signa.
I also conduct medico-legal work for Hugh Koch Associates, and work throughout the North West of England.
I've worked for the NHS for 13 years with work experience at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the University of Cambridge and the Maudsley Hospital. I've worked in a range of NHS services across North West England, including child and adolescent mental health, learning disability, primary care adult and specialist services for psychosis and people at risk for bipolar.
I've helped develop a research trial for a new promising therapy for people at risk for psychosis, managed the set up a new NHS primary care service for adolescents, and have wide ranging experience in adolescent and adult services.
I completed my first degree in psychology and neuroscience at the University of Manchester, gaining a 1st Class Degree, and also completed my doctorate at the University of Manchester.
I enjoy helping people to find balance and happiness in life through therapy, and also complete medico-legal reports if this supports a happier more balanced life.
In person, I'm gentle, supportive, perceptive, a good listener, non-judgmental and sometimes fun.
